Studio Art YR12

This is work from my year 12 Studio Art folio. The pictures are just part of developing the final piece which is a comment on these days society and on how we destroy our own life not realising how precious it is. most of the pieces in the pictures (the drawings) The starting point for the folio that i developed was the inspiration of butterflies ( how beautiful and full of life they are) and masks. Later on I came up with two pieces and the second piece only involved the butterflies.Hope you like it. Enjoy :)

Day in the city and inspirations

Last week on Tuesday we had a school excursion in the city and visited few art places. One of them was a little shop/gallery and this place was where i came across 2 new and very interesting artists. I found their works very different in style and very eye catchy. As soon as i walked into the gallery out of a wall with very different artworks my eyes were attracted by a piece produced by Rik Lee, and as i walked further down there was an artwork that I recognized by Audrey Kawasaki, but there was also an artwork by Angelique Houtkamp which got me starring for a while. I saved the artists names in my phone and as soon as i got home I researched their work and this is what i really liked out of all of them. Enjoy.
